Westmorland Hotels offer you this online booking service, so that you may check availability and price for The Ambleside Salutation Hotel. It also enables us to deal with your reservation requests more efficiently.
In order to use this service to it's highest potential, please decide on the following requirements now:
- Your arrival and departure date
- Choice of Package i.e. Bed & Breakfast, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.
- Your full name, address, telephone number, email address and any special requests will then be required.
- Your booking details will be listed.
- A non-refundable deposit to the value of the first night's accommodation cost per person is required to confirm your reservation.
- You will then receive an instant confirmation of your booking by email, followed by information by post, including your credit card receipt from the hotel.
- The hotel may need to contact you to confirm your credit card details.

When you next make a room booking, we guarantee that you will always receive the best possible rates providing you book through our website. We GUARANTEE that by booking direct or using our secure online booking system you will get the best available price on the web. Based on the same room for the same dates for the same number of persons (adults and children) and the same booking conditions. These rates are not subject to any additional discount. We do however guarantee to match any other price on the web, applicable for the same dates and subject to availability. The first night's accommodation price is required as a non refundable deposit per room booked. Cancellation cover can be taken out for individual bookings by contacting the hotel at a charge of £7.50 per person, however, our cancellation cover does apply for Christmas, New Year and for Group or Conference Bookings. |

Booking Conditions
Saturday Nights: Bookings for one night stays on a Saturday are subject to availability and will incur a supplement charge of £20.00 per person. This will not appear on your email confirmation but will be added to your reservation.
Single Rooms: We have a number of single rooms which are available at the standard person tariff. A twin or double for single occupancy will incur a supplement of £25.00 per night midweek and £35.00 per night at weekends.
Bank Holiday Weekends: (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) are charged at the High Season tariff, as is the period between Christmas and New Year.
Children's Tariff: Children are welcome at Westmorland Hotels. We have family rooms and when sharing a room with 2 adults they are charged 0-6yrs £25.00 per night and 7-15yrs £35.00 per night to include English breakfast. All other meals are charged as taken. Children under sixteen occupying their own room will be charged the full adult tariff. Cot hire is charged at £10.00 per night. We offer a Children's Menu.
Dogs Are Welcome: Providing they are well behaved! There is a charge of £20.00 per stay per room. Dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant or lounge during food service. We ask that you do not allow your dog onto the soft furnishings. If you've forgotten his bedding please ask and we'll do our best to provide some. Please do not leave your dog in the room alone. Dogs are not allowed in our allergy sensitive rooms.
Cancellation Cover
As our deposits are non-refundable, we offer our own cancellation cover (except for Christmas and New Year reservations). The cost is £7.50 per person, which guarantees the return of your deposit less an administration charge of £5.00. This must be taken out within 7 days of making your booking.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit to the value of the first night’s accommodation cost will be debited from your card number provided to secure the booking
Room Occupancy
It is assumed that rooms are booked for the maximum occupancy unless specified at the time of booking when a single supplement will be applicable. If this is not specified then a double occupancy rate will be charged for the room.
Amendments
If a booking is amended to fewer nights than the original booking was made for, we reserve the right to charge in full for the cancelled nights.
Discounts/Special Rates
If you wish to claim a discount, book on a special rate or use a voucher, this must be mentioned at the time of booking. Rates cannot be altered once the booking is made. Any vouchers must be handed in on check in. Offers/discounts can not be used in conjunction.
Swimming Pool
The pool will be open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm As there is no lifeguard on duty in the pool area, children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. If an adult wishes to swim alone, they must advise reception.our hotel |
