Thursday 28th July 2011 at Rydal Park, half a mile north of Ambleside on the A591 just a short walk from the town centre.

For over 200 years, locals and visitors alike have enjoyed watching and participating in the traditional Lakeland event. Ambleside Sports offers everything for a great day out for all the family whatever the weather, with many under cover attractions. Events include Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling complete with traditional costume, Guides races and the famous Rydal Round fell race, hound trails, track races children’s races and cycle races. Craft marquee’s and craft exhibitions along with trade stands, a fully stocked beer tent, catering units and there are even displays of Juggling and Jujitsu. It really is a fun day out for all the family.
