We’re sure you are all missing your spa treatments during this period of lockdown,  just  as much as we are missing doing them!  So..we’ve come up with some home beauty tips for you, that you can do at home using everyday household items found in the kitchen, so you can keep up with your beauty routine, and have some fun trying!

Home Beauty Tip #1

Make your own face mask from Olive Oil and Lemon Juice

THE BENEFITS OF OLIVE OIL ON OUR SKIN ARE FABULOUS.  WITH THE ADDED BENEFIT OF LEMON JUICE WHICH HELPS TO UNCLOG PORES AND BRIGHTEN THE COMPLEXION

You will need

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Mix the lemon juice and oil well together.  Apply all over your face and massage in.  Leave for 30 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Home Beauty Tip #2

A Body Scrub made from Coffee

THE TEXTURE OF COFFEE GROUNDS MAKE THE PERFECT EXFOLIATOR FOR YOUR SKIN.  IT REMOVES THE DEAD SKIN CELLS AND HELPS TO REJUVENATE AND BOOST CIRCULATION!

You will need

  • 1/2 Cup ground coffee (Fresh preferably but instant coffee will work too)
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Melted coconut oil

Mix all the ingredients together and gently rub over your body.  Leave on for several minutes and then rinse thoroughly in the shower

Home Beauty Tip #3

Banana and Honey Hair Mask

BANANAS ARE KNOWS FOR THEIR MOISTURISING PROPERTIES AND PROVIDE GREAT HYDRATION AND NOURISHMENT FOR THE HAIR.  THE HONEY HELPS SEAL MOISTURE INTO THE HAIR ALLOWING IT TO STAY STRONG AND HEALTHY.

You will need

  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey

Mix well until smooth.  Apply the mix onto damp hair and cover.  Wash off after half an hour.

Home Beauty Tip #4

Coconut Oil Cleanser

If you’ve run out of your favourite cleanser, there’s no need to panic.  Coconut oil can be picked up in most local shops and supermarkets and this miracle oil has many benefits for your skin

You will need

  • Teaspoon size of coconut oil

Apply all over your face and eyes and massage in gently.  Remove with a warm mitt or flannel.
