Please do not burn candles, of any description, in the rooms because
of the serious fire risk from naked flames.

Parking for residents is available at the hotel at no charge, but we are
only able to provide 1 space per room. The car park is operated by
an automatic system. Westmorland Hotels regret that we cannot be
held responsible for loss or damage to vehicles parked in the
hotel car park during your stay.

On arrival at the hotel, please enter the hotel via the front door only. In-line with social distancing please await our reception team to greet you. The team will then provide you with a welcome envelope which will have enclosed a welcome letter, bedroom keys, breakfast & dinner menus and a registration form to sign and hand back to our team during your stay. Check in is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival . 

Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.   Express checkout is available, your bill can be printed and posted under your door on the evening prior to departure or it can be emailed.  Should you need to checkout at reception please observe social distancing and Covid-19 guidelines. We are unable to offer any late check outs as we have implemented a rigorous cleaning regime for all guest rooms on departure.

We accept Maestro, Visa, MasterCard, Amex & Diners Club. Personal
cheques can only be accepted if prior arrangements have been
made.  Where possible we will be encouraging contactless payment.

If you have a disability we are able to provide a large magnifying
page to assist with reading the menus or other printed matter. We also
have a portable induction loop and a vibrating alarm at reception
and, on prior request, we can reserve a car parking space for you.

Should you require medical attention please call Ambleside
015394 32693 between 8.30am – 6pm. In emergencies a doctor
can be contacted via Reception or Baycall 03000 247 247.

On arrival and during your stay, please use the ramp entrance to the hotel which has been socially distanced and marked out in line with Covid-19 guidelines. The front door automatically locks between 11pm and 7.30am. Please use your key card to open the door between these times.  Entering and
exiting the car park is via a bollard system that will automatically lower
on entrance but only once the green light is on and exit via a code
provided by reception. If you feel you should wash your boots or the
pooch before coming back to the hotel we have a doggie and boot
shower in the rear garage car park next to the Stock Ghyll Lodge.  Please observe social distancing when using this facility.

We would request that some form of footwear is worn when using
the restaurant/bar areas. In the evening we would ask that long
trousers are worn.
